Synopsis

Ancient vampire Silas Elmagus rises for the night on All Hallows Eve and feeling lonely and introspective decides to have a glass of wine.  As he uncorks the old bottle of wine, memories of the vintage year (1698) play through his mind.

He remembers riding through the Carpathian Mountains with his fellow vampire Viktor and finding a camp of gypsies in the forest.  Posing as wine merchants, Silas and Viktor were welcomed into the camp.  This was the night he met his mortal gypsy lover Ivan and as he sips the wine Silas remembers the night of passion that they shared.

The Review

Crimson Ambrosia is a short erotic story from romance/erotica writer Sabrina Luna.  The story describes an erotic encounter as remembered by the vampire Silas.  Silas’s relationship with Ivan was definitely a meeting of the flesh rather than a romantic meeting of the minds and as this story is m/m erotica and not a romance it won’t appeal to every one.

The story is well written and the descriptions of the forest and the gypsy camp seem to have an evocative feel to them.  The short story format has been worked to its best advantage and it fits in well with the premise of Silas feeling lonely and reminiscing on his past erotic encounters, giving the reader a brief taste of Silas and a brief taste of erotica at the same time.

Crimson Ambrosia should prove to be a satisfying read for any m/m erotica fan but especially for the ones who love vampires….
