How To Marry A Millionaire Vampire

Kerrelyn Sparks

Published 2005       371 pages

Synopsis

Roman Draganesti is possibly the perfect man.  Rich, successful, handsome and charming he is everything a girl could dream of.  Apart from his one small flaw which is that he is also a vampire.  When he has an embarrassing accident, breaking a tooth biting something he really shouldn’t have, he is in urgent need of a dentist.

Enter Shanna Whelan, all night dentist with a phobia of blood and a deadly secret of her own.  With the Russian Mafia hot on Shanna’s trail, a group of rogue vampires out to cause murder and mayhem and the government’s secret vampire hunting unit out to slay any vampire they can find, this promises to be more than your average boring trip to the dentist.

The Review

How To Marry A Millionaire Vampire is a comedy romance vampire novel, which you might have guessed from the book’s title!  Whilst there is plenty of action and excitement in this book to keep the reader entertained, as well as the light hearted romance, the story definitely has more emphasis on the romance.  This is not a novel for readers looking for serious vampire gore or supernatural trills but as romance novels go this one isn’t bad.  So if you like romance novels and prefer your vampires to be sexy, rather than cruel homicidal monsters, I think you will enjoy this book.

Editor’s Choice

Soulless by Gail Carriger

I LOVED this book! It takes the best parts of the urban fantasy, romance, mystery and alternative history genres adds a dash of steampunk, wraps it up in a coating of Victorian sensibility and turns it into something more than the sum of its parts. Fabulous! Read the review.
